VR Completes Advanced Embroidery Transaction
July 15 — VR Business Brokers of McKinney, TX, a leader in the sale of privately
held companies, recently facilitated the sale of Advanced Embroidery of McKinney, TX
to Karl and Linda Rivers, formerly of Lubbock, TX.
Advanced Embroidery has been serving the local business community since its
founding in 1994 by Kerry Cassuto. As part of the transaction, Kerry has agreed to
remain involved in the business for a period of time to ensure a smooth transition of
ownership.
New owner Karl Rivers states “Over the years Kerry has built a solid business,
with a great reputation, and I don’t plan to change anything. Linda and I want to learn
as much as possible from Kerry, and continue the great service tradition of Advanced
Embroidery.
The transaction, which closed on June 30, was handled by VR intermediary Larry
Lane, a specialist in small business transactions, who represented Advanced Embroidery
in the sale.
The buyer, Karl Rivers, has owned several businesses in the past, including an
existing magazine publication in Lubbock, TX. He was so impressed with VR Business
Brokers during the Advanced Embroidery transaction that he has now listed his
publication business for sale with VR. According to Lane, “Karl’s business is a great
opportunity for someone that lives anywhere in the west Texas or Panhandle region.
The business has a solid customer base of regular advertisers, and has been priced to
sell quickly to allow Karl to concentrate on his new venture”.
